  • Single or double paned doors and windows, depending on model
  • Hardware to construct including screws, nails, handles and locks

Any additional exterior or interior materials are extra packages, and are priced accordingly. PacRim is happy to provide quotes on any requested after-market materials or services.

Having such a great workshop for my carving is life-changing. Much as I enjoyed building Bunkie and getting everything set up, it is truly a pleasure to have a separate space to work instead of a corner of the garage. In the past, I’ve gone 6 months at times without doing any carving. Now, I can’t imagine going 6 days without going out to Bunkie to work on a project.
I still have to paint the fascia green and finish applying the Cutek, but Bunkie is looking good! I get lots of positive comments from neighbours.
Thank you again for your excellent customer service!

Hi Teri & Cher

We will think of you when we raise our glasses to the completion of our “Arbutus” which is very close 👏

Just need to tin the roof, finish up the floorboards and translucent staining!  We are all excited to see and use the finished space.  It went together like a puzzle 🧩

Thanks again for all your assistance and patience during the supply chain challenges and all of our inquiries. Hope things are back on track for you.

 Cheers to a great summer!

Teri & Cher,

Have to say I am quite impressed with the building package.  It went together quite smoothly and we had no trouble with any of the pieces.  My wife has claimed this one as her “she-shed”.
We had an excellent customer experience with Pacrim Log Structures! From the first call with Cher to the site visit with Teri, they did a wonderful job answering our questions and providing guidance. I was very impressed with the product (Carol). I am not a carpenter or builder (call me a handyman) with a little research and YouTube watching I was able to put our building together with no difficulties. The package was complete and the pieces were very accurately prepared. Overall our experience with Pacrim was top notch.
Thanks again, it was wonderful dealing with you.

Hi Teri,
We put together both units and I was amazed how fast they went up and how essentially nothing was damaged at all.  This was a great experience. I did the build with my one buddy and we got a unit up per day including the roof.  It was a very fast project. Thanks again and this was a wonderful experience.  Expect some referrals from me!

January Tip: Here’s Why you should Insulate

DO I NEED TO INSULATE? The simple answer is yes.  A wooden structure will naturally contract and expand slightly with climate changes throughout the year.  Your best bet is to start with a structure made from tongue and groove boards (which you did!!)   They offer a...

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Included?

PacRim Log Structures specializes in deconstructed log structure kits, that are easily assembled on your property by a skilled carpenter.

Each unit will come flat packed, wrapped in a thick tarp paper, and strapped to a pallet. Inside you will find:

– tongue & groove wall boards, floor boards, and roof boards in specified thickness

– all doors and windows

– hardware and lock assemblies

– nails and screws to construct the unit.

We provide technical drawings and assembly instructions for your unit upon purchase.

For more detailed information about the specific components included, please check our ‘Product Information’ page.

How do I Protect my Unit?
Our structures are manufactured from raw Northern Spruce, which is kiln dried to 16% moisture content prior to leaving the factory. This raw material is highly susceptible to moisture, which can cause the boards to warp or crack if not treated properly.

We recommend treating your unit immediately after assembly to ensure it is not negatively affected by the climate, especially on the West Coast. Wood Oil, Stain, or Paint can be used on both the exterior and interior of the unit to provide protection, and aesthetic. We encourage you to speak to a local paint supplier to determine the best product for your specific climate and unit.

PacRim works with local suppliers to provide high quality products that are tailored to your unit. Contact us for a customized quote.

To learn more about protecting your unit, please check our ‘Extras & Upgrades’ page.

How do I Build the Unit?
We recommend construction and finishing by a skilled carpenter, or someone with construction/carpentry experience. While we do provide many resources for you, our kits do require a certain amount of carpentry finesse to efficiently and successfully complete.

Included in your purchase of a structure is technical drawings and assembly instructions specific to your unit. These drawings will show a list of all materials included and how they should be assembled, as well as dimensions and elevations for the unit. We do not recommend relying solely on these documents to construct your unit however – carpentry experience is an asset.

The most important thing to remember is that your base needs to be square and level, otherwise as you build your unit it will be out of alignment exponentially as you get higher, which will result in warping and incorrect settling.

On our ‘Symbols & Assembly Instructions’ page, we do have a few assembly videos to show you the process of constructing one of our units.

We are here to assist you with any questions that you have along the way – please do not hesitate to contact us or your sales rep!
